Studio II - Graphic Research
Holograms have now been really common for everyone to produce these days, but is it really the holography that gives us the wow factor or the design in which these are formed in. A holographic image could be seen looking into a flash of holographic print or other wise by shinning a laser light through a hologram template and projecting a image onto a screen. For our final semester two studio project, Anni (my partner) and I went through the process and explored different types of holograms. We were focusing more on how we could develop these designs and come up with a rather easier way of portraying them. Our project was formed more on research and content more than the quality of our final piece. Thus, for the final artifact I decided to display a simple concept and focused more on producing a simple version of a hologram, which anyone could make easily by the concept of reflecting animation from a digital device. We decided to make this because we wanted our viewers to think how easy this is to discover and produce something like this without putting too much effort on the actual production. In addition these types of productions can be made for any purpose like a gift for someone, that could be placed anywhere like a house decor. The final result of our research has been limited to having just a simple template which has a 10 inch tablet on top of a box that I constructed, and the holography is projected by placing a clear plastic paper underneath the tablet on a 45° angle.

This was one of my favourite collaborate work that was done with two others, we made a stop motion short film that was constructed around emotions. We made these models with clay and each colour represented each emotion. Red-Angry, Blue-Sad, Yellow-Happy and Green- Fear. |
